Mark Roberts was born and raised in Liverpool and was educated at St. Francis Xavier's College. He was a teacher for twenty years and for the last thirteen years has worked with children with severe learning difficulties. He received a Manchester Evening News Theatre Award for best new play of the year. He is the author of What She Saw which was longlisted for a CWA Gold Dagger. Blood Mist, the first in his DCI Eve Clay series, went to number one in the Australian kindle chart.

Blood Mist, the first of the DCI Eve Clay novels first published by Head of Zeus in 2015. This was a great opportunity for me to write a thriller based in my native city of Liverpool.

This is my MEN award for 'best new play of the year 1997'. The play was The Vinegar Trip, and dealt with the conflicting emotions of three people whose brother, best friend and lover dies in an auto erotic S&M accident. It was a great honor to recieve this award and something I treasure.

In the 1980s I wrote for Jackie magazine and was the lead story in the 1989 annual. The story was called P.S. I Love You.  I found this to my amusement in a local charity shop.

The Eve Clay novels have been translated into four foreign languages.  This is the cover of the German edition of Day of the Dead due out there in January 2019.
